The Toronto Police Service is requesting assistance with a homicide investigation.
On Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 1:24 a.m., police were called to the Gerrard Street East and River Street area for a shooting.
It is reported that:
- a man, 54, was located by police in medical distress
- a second man, 57, was located a short distance away, also in medical distress
The man, 54, was pronounced at the scene.
He has been identified as Everone Paul Mitchell, 54, of Toronto.
The second man, 57, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
