Muhammad Fahad, 33, charged in ongoing Sexual Assault Investigation, Man's photograph released

The Toronto Police Service would like to inform the public about an ongoing Sexual Assault investigation.

On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Durham Regional Police Service received a call for a sexual assault.

It is alleged that:

- on Sunday, August 20, 2017, a 25-year-old woman was leaving a downtown Toronto nightclub in the Cherry Street and Polson Street area

- a man approached her, posing as an Uber driver, and asked if she needed a ride

- the woman entered the man's car, a red, four-door 2017 Toyota Camry

- the man then sexually assaulted the woman on the drive home

On Monday, August 21, 2017, Muhammad Fahad, 33, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1) Sexual Assault
2) Theft Under

He was scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 10 a.m., room 507.
