Arrest made in $1.9M Fraud Investigation, Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest made in a Fraud investigation.

It is alleged that:

- the owner of GMR Consulting, forged cheques in her name and the name of her company

- over a two-year period, with this scheme, she defrauded former clients of approximately $1.9 million

On Monday, September 12, 2016, at approximately 9 a.m., Gwendolyne Martinez Rodriguez, 30, of Toronto, was arrested.

She is charged with:

1) Fraud - Over ($5000)
2) Utter Forged Document

She was scheduled to appear in court on Monday, September 12, 2016, at College Park Court, at 2 p.m.

Police are concerned current and former clients of GMR Consulting may have suffered similar losses.
