Parking regulations, Public holiday enforcement

Members of the public are reminded that most parking regulations will be in effect and enforced during the upcoming public holiday season.

The following offences will not be enforced on 


  • Friday, December 25, 2015 (Christmas Day), 
  • Saturday, December 26, 2015, (Boxing Day), and 
  • Friday, January 1, 2016 (New Year’s Day), as by-law exemptions are in effect:

On-street meter and Pay-and-Display Offences: Payment is not required at on-street parking meters and pay-and-display machines on statutory holidays.

No Stopping and No Parking Rush Hour Routes Offences: No Stopping and no parking rush hour routes where signs indicate a time period (e.g. 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and also indicate Monday to Friday.

No Stopping and No Standing Offences - Except Public Holidays: No stopping and no standing offences where signs stipulate "Except Public Holidays."

Enforcement of all parking regulations will continue at all other times including Monday, December 28, 2015.
