Man wanted in taxi robbery, Security camera images of man released

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in a taxi robbery investigation. 



It is reported that:

- on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at approximately 2 a.m., in the Mill Street and Cherry Street area, a taxi driver was involved in a dispute with his passenger 

− during the dispute, the passenger demanded cash from the driver and assaulted him

- he also damaged a debit machine in the cab

- the passenger fled empty-handed 

The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The passenger was captured on the in-car security camera and images of the man have been released.

The suspect is described as white, 20-26, clean-shaven with short, dark hair.
